Gary Fredericks

My parents met on a blind date after they both had graduated from Syracuse. They married in December of 1971 and bought a house in Henrietta. Dad first worked on the RIT coaching staff before getting his full time offer at Caledonia. Mom worked at Monroe High-school until she was offered a full time position at Edison Tech a high School. She developed a brand new program there, Early Childhood Education. With her program young inner city teenage mothers could bring their children to Peggy’s childcare room which she turned into a full lab and practicum for her students. She passed in 1999 from a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
Dad met Mary in 2003 at a wedding of mutual friends in Attica. They got married in 2004.
