QSHIM Production Checklist

Hello! This is the checklist to complete any QSHIM orders that come in. Let’s get started!

Production Checklist

Step #1

Create a packing label using the Word template and fill out the QSHIM Shipping Excel sheet.

Step #2

Using the packing label; retrieve the necessary plaque(s) to fulfill the order

Step #3

Start the laser and set up the air vent in the window.

Step #4

Open the correct Canva template, QR Monkey, WordPress Orders page, and the Corel Draw software

Step #5

Review, enter the correct serial code number, and publish the submitted page from the order.                                                                                                                       *If a page has not been submitted; switch over to the customers profile and create a page.

Step #6

After the page has been published; copy the URL from the publish page on the website and paste it into the “Content” section in the QR Monkey QR generator site. Confirm the URL is correct and then click the “Create QR Code” button.

Step #7

Once the QR code has been created; click the “Download PNG”

Once the download is complete; drag and drop the file to the Canva uploads section.

Step #8

Switch out the old QR code on the template with the new one, and download the new transparent template.

Step #9

Load the new template into the Coral Draw Software, and input the ratio codes.

Use the correct aspect ratio from the list below.      

4”x4” Plates:

Corel Draw:

X – 1.929”

Y – 10.063”

W x H – 3.854”x 3.854”

                       2”x 3.5” Plates:

Corel Draw:

X – 1.231”

Y – 11.342

W x H – 2.326”x 1.142”

                       1.3”X 2.75” Plates

Corel Draw:

X – 1.231”

Y – 11.342

W x H – 2.326”x 1.142”

Step #10

In the printer settings choose the Epilog Laser, and click “Print” to launch the Epilog laser software.

Step #11

Once the laser software has loaded; input the correct aspect ratio as needed into the aspect ratio menu.

Step #12

Choose “QSHIM Plates” from the preset menu.  The settings should be:

Resolution – 1200

Speed – 100%

Power – 100%

Dithering – Standard

Unidirectional – Off

Precision Sync – On

Cycles – 1

No Air Assist!

If calibrated correctly; input the following settings into the laser software:

4”x4” Plates:

Epilog Dashboard:

X – 1.95

Y – 1.968

|–| – 2.79

][ – 3.609

                       2”x 3.5” Plates:

Epilog Dashboard:

X – 1.52

Y – 0.79

|–| – 3.407

][ – 1.837

                       1.3”X 2.75” Plates

Epilog Dashboard:

X – 1.2

Y – 0.52

Step #13

Load the plaque into the laser

Step #14

Review the template in the laser software and make the adjustments as needed.

Step #15

Send the template to the laser by clicking print.

Step #16

Make sure the correct template is selected on the laser menu and then press the start button.

Step #17

Take the plaque out and test the QR code. Also wipe off the plaque.

Step #18

Insert the following list into the correct packing:

2 – QSHIM Stickers

1 – Instruction paper

1 – Packing Slip

1 – Plaque

1 – 3M Tape cut to size

1 – Stake (if ordered)

1 – Padding foam or packing paper

Step #19

Seal and weigh the package.

Step #20

Create and print a shipping label and send it on its way
