
Young Bucks 2024
Location: Red Lake and Pennsylvania
This year was a blast! We did our Red Lake retreat a little earlier than we usually do. It turned out to be even better because the fishing was better and so were the mosquitoes! The most important and strengthening part though was the fellowship and comradery that we built during our time together. Proverbs 3 and 4 were the passages that we studied for our morning bible studies. Here are just a few notes from our studies:

#1 – If we only take the word of God as knowledge, we will miss out on a relationship and a wisdom.
#2 – If the Lord is in control of our life, which he is, why do we worry about everything? The peace comes when we are faithful with what we have and then trust God with the outcome.
#3 – You should take your spiritual heath as serious as your physical heath.
#4 – Always speak well about your wife. This will be a strong testimony. Don’t let others around you talk bad about there wife.
#5 – Your life will tell your family, friends and other what your legacy is. So live it well!

#1 – When we receive wisdom, don’t let it go.
#2 – If we are walking in the darkness, we don’t know what’s around us. This is why we need ask the Lord for His direction and light.
#3 – Similar to hunting, life has wide and narrow paths.
#4 – The Lord, through his wisdom, orders our steps and allows thing to happen to us that hep us go closer to him.

The trip to Pennsylvania was awesome as well! There was some rain, but it wasn’t a complete wash out. We met up at the cabin each morning for bible study. We also climbed lawn chair mountain, shot guns, dug some ditches with Pete Brownell’s excavator, and ate a lot of good food. Here are just a few notes from our morning studies.

#1 – It takes effort to take care of the things we love.
#2 – You are stronger in realizing and taking care of your weaknesses, than trying to stand in a moment of temptation.
#3 – You will never regret doing what is right! Even if it the hardest thing to do!

#1 – Never leave your faith at the door! You hold it tight no matter where you go!
#2 – Jesus turns your mistakes into wisdom when you give it to him.
#3 – Use our scars to show and help others draw closer to Jesus Christ!
#4 – If you are a people-pleaser, you will become bitter towards everyone.
